Hello, I am Arda Çınar. I am a Computer Engineering student at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. I am building my academic and professional journey on the three fundamental pillars of today’s digital world: Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Technologies. My career goal is to add value to technology by designing innovative, resilient, and secure systems at the intersection of these three critical disciplines.
For me, cybersecurity is not just a career goal, but also an applied passion that I continuously develop with a proactive approach. I have honed my expertise in this field to encompass both “offensive” and “defensive” perspectives. Under the umbrella of İnfedi, an Independent Cybersecurity Initiative that I founded, I conducted network penetration tests and web application security audits for SMEs. In these endeavors, I gained practical experience in a wide range of activities, from network mapping with Nmap to packet analysis with Wireshark, from web traffic manipulation with Burp Suite to exploiting database vulnerabilities using SQLmap, targeting OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities. I developed complex penetration scenarios using the Metasploit Framework and prepared detailed technical reports including findings, risk levels, and necessary countermeasures.
I believe that security is not just about finding vulnerabilities, but also about “building” and “automating” secure systems. In line with this, I developed a modular Red Team security tool (RedTeamOps) based on Python, featuring modules such as network discovery (Nmap API integration), service scanning, and particularly privilege escalation in Linux systems.
I have extended this proactive security approach to cloud computing, today’s most critical infrastructure. Thanks to my achievements in CTF (Capture The Flag) competitions, I was selected for the Turkish Cybersecurity Cluster (TSGK) Cloud Security Team and at the TSGK Alanya Camp, I receive practical training on advanced cloud security architectures, automation, and incident response on AWS and Azure platforms. One of my most concrete experiences in this field was gained during the “Wiz Cloud Hunting Games” simulation. In this multi-stage cloud data breach incident based on a real-world scenario, I investigated how an attacker infiltrated the AWS environment. By analyzing CloudTrail and S3 data event logs with SQL queries, I identified how the attacker compromised an IAM role using STS AssumeRole, which EC2 server was used as the initial access point, and how the code of a Lambda function was manipulated to exfiltrate data. By thoroughly uncovering the kill chain, I intervened in the external server where the data was exfiltrated. These efforts reinforced my proficiency with industry certifications such as Certified Associate Penetration Tester (CAPT) and Wiz Cloud Security Championship.
In addition to cybersecurity, I am also actively developing deep learning projects in the field of artificial intelligence. Currently, as a Deep Learning Engineer Intern at Andromedy, I am working on complex models such as agricultural product yield prediction from satellite images and anticipating rain cloud movements from meteorological data using the UNet architecture, utilizing Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. Furthermore, I won first prize in the Teknofest Idea Competition with my “AI-Powered Smart Recycling Bin” project, which I developed using image processing (OpenCV) and the YOLO algorithm.
With my belief that technical knowledge multiplies as it is shared, I serve as the Board President of the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Cybersecurity Club. Within the club, I regularly provide practical training on topics such as “Fundamentals of Cybersecurity,” “Network Fundamentals,” “Operating Systems,” and “Using Kali Linux.” Within the scope of the “Unides Program,” I prepare CTF events filled with realistic scenarios on Linux servers where participants connect via SSH, and I provide cybersecurity awareness training to high school students on current threats such as social engineering, phishing, and deepfakes.
This site is my digital portfolio where I share my projects, experiences, and learning journey at the intersection of cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and artificial intelligence.
